Meet Robyn Lyon Real Estate
Fair Oaks Office

Prior to becoming a full-time Realtor in 1999, Robyn spent 20 years in public relations, communications, executive coaching and teaching. She interned with the Child Abuse Prevention Council twice – was a Vista Volunteer, and taught interpersonal communications at Sacramento City College part-time for several years.

Married until 1994, Robyn successfully fulfilled the wife/homemaker role for 27 years, raised three sons, and did her share of baking as well as volunteering on boards and community organizations including Little League, swim team, soccer, PTA, park board and homeowners association. A Sacramento and Arden Park resident since 1967, she is still active in her community as a member of the Rotary Club of Sacramento, an Ambassador for the MetroChamber and a chaplain-emeritus for her Unity church. She has earned her life membership in the SAR Master's Club, and is a certified residential specialist as well as a senior real estate specialist.

Besides playing with her four grandsons, Robyn also enjoys bicycling, a sport she began in 2004 on a borrowed bike. Training for long rides was nothing she had ever done before. “My lender’s husband was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 2003 and I watched him decline rapidly,” says Robyn. “He has since stabilized and improved with the medications he currently receives. Raising money for research was what drew me into this event.” In 2004 and again in 2005, she bicycled with a team from San Francisco to Santa Monica, personally raising over $10,000 for the Arthritis Foundation.

Robyn has often said whenever she was unsure what to do with herself, she enrolled in a course. She has a passion for personal growth and development and has coached others in achieving their goals. She is a certified life and business coach. Her education includes bachelors degrees in social science, journalism and communication, a masters degree in communication, certification in mediation and hospice, plus 1000's of hours of non-traditional personal growth coursework taken outside of academia. This includes becoming certified as a hypnotherapist, studying integrative breathwork and leading gender workshops. She also facilitated a relationships course called “The Mind of Love”, taught by a couple from Santa Rosa. Robyn was responsible for bringing the course to Sacramento. She has completed the Rapport leadership courses as well as most of the Landmark Education courses including their year-long Wisdom Course.

Many of Robyn’s clients have claimed her business card should read “Realtor/Counselor.” Looking back, she can see that her desire to be of service has always been expressing itself in one form or another. Robyn has selected a team of professionals to work with who also love to nurture and care for clients. They will go the extra mile to make you smile.
